We had a picnic lunch outside, because the weather is beautiful.
We saw the baby goats kicking inside Cinnamon, watched the ducks we moved take a splash in the turtle swimming pool, saw a red tail hawk and 2 eagles flying overhead, and had a cherry pit spitting contest (I had a jar of cherries as part of our lunch, and we shared).
Now the kids are feeding some apples to all of the animals.
We aren’t going to get to as much academic work as usual today. It is a good learning by doing day, and there has been much successful practice at cooperating and concentrating until a job is complete.
